The meeting «ZCAM and CECAM: present and future» aims to bring together the different Spanish communities that work in the field of computer simulation. It will be held at the Zaragoza Center for Advanced Modeling (ZCAM), the Spanish node of CECAM. CECAM, an international institution (mainly European) based in Laussane (Switzerland), has played a fundamental role in the development of simulation methods and tools with classical potentials (molecular dynamics, statistical physics) and quantum methods (mostly based on the Density Functional theory) through a number of different activities, including the organization of workshops and schools.

The objective of this meeting is twofold: to promote knowledge, participation and the organization of activities in ZCAM and CECAM, and to make visible the great scientific activity carried out by Spanish researchers in this field, showing the relevance and vitality of the communities associated with CECAM in our country. The participation of the representative of the Ministry of Science and Innovation (MCIN) in the CECAM Council and the new Director of CECAM has already been confirmed.

The meeting will begin after lunch on June 8 and will end at midday on June 9. It will consist of invited talks that cover different scientific areas associated with CECAM, presentations by the representative of MCIN and the Director of CECAM, and a round table where we can collect the vision of our community on the future activity of ZCAM and CECAM.

Arrangements have been made for accommodation at two superb Hotels ( Alfonso and Goya) for 66  €/night. (single room and breakfast and taxes included).  These rooms can only be reserved through the Conference Secretary. Please fill in the  registration form the arrival and departure dates.
