The transition to sustainable energy relies on overcoming challenges in renewable energy efficiency, scalability, and cost. Research on advanced energy materials is crucial for innovations in energy conversion, storage, and efficiency, with oxides playing a pivotal role due to their unique catalytic, electronic, and structural properties. Their abundance and affordability make them ideal for scalable solutions in applications like catalysis, photovoltaics, batteries, and fuel cells. Key research includes tailoring oxides’ surface properties, tuning bandgaps for broad-spectrum light absorption, and improving material stability under irradiation. Advanced techniques explore atomic-scale mechanisms, defect engineering, and efficient charge/ion transport. The proposed workshop will bring together experimentalists and theorists to bridge knowledge gaps in oxide functionality. Topics will include AI-driven design of new materials, catalysis, photoelectrochemistry, solid-state batteries, and defect dynamics, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize oxides for sustainable energy technologies.

ACCOMODATION 

Arrangements have been made for accommodation at Hotels within a 85-110  €/night. (single room and breakfast and taxes included).  These rooms can only be reserved through the Conference Secretary. For further information please contact Beatriz Antoli, bantoli@unizar.es, indicating room preference (single, double) and the arrival and departure dates.

REGISTRATION FEE

The registration fee is  350 € and it includes:

Payment should be done by wire transfer to the following Bank Account of the University of Zaragoza. We cannot accept credit card payments.
